An MTB jersey should fit looser than a road jersey for mobility and pad clearance, but still skim the body so it doesn't snag on the saddle or catch the wind. A drop tail keeps your lower back covered in the attack position. If you're between sizes, check our Size & Fit Guide.
Mountain bike jerseys favor durability, mobility, and a relaxed cut over aerodynamics. Tougher face fabrics shrug off pack straps and trail brush, the looser fit allows body English on technical terrain, and many riders carry gear in a pack rather than rear pockets. Road jerseys prioritize an aero fit and rear storage instead.
Short sleeve is the default for hot, pedal-heavy days. Long sleeve adds sun, brush, and light abrasion protection, which is why many trail and enduro riders run lightweight long sleeves even in summer. On rough, technical terrain some riders wear them year-round.
They step up by terrain and feature set. Canyon is the versatile everyday trail line; Elevate adds trail and enduro-focused features; Summit and Summit PRO are the most technical, with premium fabrics and details built for aggressive riding. Pick the line that matches how hard you ride.
A base layer isn't required, but it improves comfort on cold or variable days by moving sweat off your skin. In peak heat a breathable jersey alone is usually enough; when it's cool, add a wicking base layer underneath.
Brushed thermal jerseys hold warmth while still breathing, and suit roughly 45 to 60°F. As it gets colder, layer one under a windproof jacket and add a base layer beneath.
Wash cold on a gentle cycle, skip fabric softener, and air-dry to protect the fabric and any water-repellent finish. Rinse off trail mud before washing so it doesn't set into the fibers.
