"My 30-year-old lightweight cycling jacket finally took its last ride, so I needed a replacement. I found the Summit Wind jacket on sale and decided to go for it, sight unseen (except for on the web). I was a little nervous on the sizing but the description on the website and other's comments gave me a little comfort that I was going to order the right size and I did. I am very pleased with my purchase. The jacket is lightweight, has two side pockets and packs into a very small pouch for easy storage."
My favorite daily wind layer
"I love this jacket. I have two. It's a great casual layer for around town. It's small enough that it packs down like a cycling windbreaker and fits in a jersey pocket. Like a cycling windbreaker, it's comfortable and breathable but not very waterproof at all. It does have some kind of hydrophobic coating though which helps. And it's a LOT softer and more comfortable than similar ultralight windshells like a Patagonia Houdini which have a really crinkly feel."
Fantastic jacket to cut the chill.
"I wanted a jacket that I could wear at the beginning of early morning chilly mtb rides, or at the tops of a climb before a long descent when the air is crisp. But I tend to run hot, so I needed something that breathed well and could be easily removed and stowed. This is the best wind jacket I have ever owned. It is incredibly lightweight, stows down very small, doesn’t have the crinkly sound you get with many wind shells, and the fit is excellent. It checks all the boxes; exactly what I was looking for."
